In case you haven’t heard, March 6th 2014 will be Australia’s first Change Day. Originating in the UK NHS, Change Day is a grass roots movement to improve health and wellbeing. Individuals are encouraged to make a pledge about what action they will take to improve the health and wellbeing of others. The original change day in the UK received 189,000 thousand online pledges and subsequent actions. Imagine the change to health services across the country that could be made with that level of combined commitment!
If you are sceptical about the difference a pledge can make you may wish to read this in the HSJ from Pollyanna Jones of the Kings College Hospital Foundation Trust for inspiration.
