We thought many Croakey readers might appreciate the opportunity to dig deeper into Australian Electoral Commission data about which communities voted Yes at the recent referendum for a constitutionally enshrined Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.
Croakey’s designer Mitchell Ward prepared the interactive maps of states and territories below, using AEC data and Google Maps. Clicks on the maps and scroll for closer inspection.
The maps show booth locations in each state and territory that carried a Yes vote of higher than 50 percent. In total, 2,497 booths voted Yes nationally.
Some localities had more than one booth but, in most cases, are represented by one marker.

A large proportion of booths in the Northern Territory were set up by remote mobile teams (denoted by the vehicle symbol on the map). There is limited location data available for these voting stations so their position is indicative only.
