Croakey’s peripatetic correspondent, Dr Ruth Armstrong, has taken the Twitter account @WePublicHealth on a road trip in the United States, sharing public health postcards from Texas and Louisiana.
So far, she has traversed topics ranging from disaster recovery to road safety, whooping cranes, gun control, vaping-related lawsuits, the benefits of green space and public art, and environmental grief. The importance of black media and public interest journalism was also in the frame.
Below is the first in a two-part series from the road (and keep following the @WePublicHealth tweets from Colorado this week as well).
