    Have you done a straw poll on your family, friends, and colleagues to find out how many keep coherent records of their own health events? I don’t mean a shoe-box of Medicare receipts, but a chronological chart of some sort?
    There’s no need, really. It would be less than 5%.
    The political case for spending on electronic records rests on a premise that has very little value for voters.
    If our political masters know this already, they should say so, and not leave such as yourself to wave the whip at a deceased Equus.
