The tobacco, alcohol and other unhealthy industries have sought to exploit the COVID-19 pandemic to promote their corporate agendas, according to presentations to the recent Preventive Health Conference 2021.
The hybrid conference, held in Perth and also online, also heard about the leadership of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) in responding effectively to COVID-19, and the importance of addressing the social determinants for many health issues.
