As you may have seen, Croakey has launched @WePublicHealth, a rotated curated Twitter account, as a little experiment in citizen journalism meets public health.
Hopefully it will be of interest to Croakey readers, contributors, public health professionals, journalists and community members – really anyone, anywhere with an interest in using Twitter to explore public health issues, whether local or global, is invited to contribute.
In the chair at @WePublicHealth this week is Fiona Armstrong, Convenor of the Climate and Health Alliance. Amidst a very busy schedule, she will be tweet-spotlighting one of the many under-discussed policy concerns of this election campaign.
Tomorrow (Monday) at 3pm, Fiona will be available for an online Twitter interview about all matters health and climate. Please join us.
Meanwhile, Fiona and the @WePublicHealth account (which was then in the hands of Alison Verhoeven, CEO of the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association), were active tweeters from a “Greening the health sector policy think tank” in Melbourne on Friday.
The meeting was convened by AHHA, Global Green and Healthy Hospitals, the Climate and Health Alliance and the Deeble Institute.
