Every week, a different guest tweeter takes charge of Croakey’s rotated, curated Twitter account, @WePublicHealth, and uses the account to cover specific health issues or events.
Big thanks to Dr Amy Bestman, a Research Fellow, in the Injury Division at The George Institute for Global Health Australia, who took the helm recently to talk about #GamblingHarms.
Bestman’s research has focused on public health qualitative studies that address inequity in at risk populations such as children, disadvantaged communities, individuals experiencing gambling harm and, CALD population groups.
Hers was a timely and welcome focus as we hosted our inaugural virtual #CroakeyGO, sponsored by the Alliance for Gambling Reform, to listen and share stories and research during Gambling Harm Awareness Week in Victoria and NSW. See our wrap story on the event, which trended nationally on Twitter.
The post below captures some of her tweets during that week.
