At Croakey, we believe our journalism and professional services can be of great benefit for researchers, research organisations and associated entities. Today, we officially launch a new publication explaining how our services can assist researchers and related organisations.
The package includes an innovative concept for embedding public interest journalism as an independent discipline in research projects.
Below, Professor Megan Williams, Chair of Croakey Health Media, issues an invitation to Croakey readers.
Megan Williams writes:
Croakey Health Media has a range of opportunities for researchers, encompassing both our journalism and consultancy services.
Have a look at this document – it outlines how Croakey can support researchers, teams and organisations by:
- Showing your leadership in research – demonstrating leadership
- Research dissemination and impact
- Skills development
- Developing collaborations and partnerships
- Creating change.
As a long-term researcher, I highly value these ways that Croakey has supported my work, and I value the roles of independent media and public interest journalism. Research and journalism together are essential for informed public debate and policy about health and wellbeing.
These strategies of Croakey Health Media have helped me write in new ways and for broader audiences, to think more critically, and to work in unity with others. The #JustJustice and #KnowledgeTranslation series – bringing research, agenda setting and community together in unity with new and long-term colleagues – I’m a better researcher as a result, and we were able to evidence our collective impact.
Please feel free to get in touch with the Croakey team if you have any queries or ideas.
