As tertiary students return to university learning, it is timely to consider the place of sovereign knowledge in teaching and research.
Danielle Manton – a Barunggam woman and Indigenous Health Lecturer at UTS in Sydney who has worked with many First Nations communities in education, as described in this article last year – recently tweeted about sovereign knowledge for @WePublicHealth.
She shared many useful resources, including around self-determination, the cultural determinants of health, self-care around Invasion/Survival Day, and about the ongoing impacts of colonisation.
