Rather disappointingly the answer to that question may be a resounding no if PM Turnbull’s first press conference is anything to go by. His zealous support for the Direct Action policy will have drawn a large sigh from the many who consider this a public health issue and longingly remember his days as a champion for real action on climate change.
However the broader community seems to have high hopes for change. The Twitterati was quick to respond, first with a wish list:
Real questions remain to be answered however. Will there be a change of Health Minister, what is our new Prime Minister’s position on the NDIS and are co-payments truly gone?

@croakeyblog @mariemcinerney we have had a science minister since December last year. Admittedly, it is Ian Macfarlane, but we do have one.
