Introduction by Croakey: Many lessons from local, national and global efforts to improve healthcare sustainability were shared at the Greening the Healthcare Sector Forum, held recently on Noongar boodja in Perth.
The forum also put the spotlight on climate governance in health organisations, the cultural determinants of health, and the importance of Indigenous knowledges.
As part of Croakey Conference News Service coverage of the forum, we can report that the financial value of the #GreenHealthForum23 tweeting has been estimated at almost $30,000, according to a Tweetbinder analysis.
The forum was co-organised by the Climate and Health Alliance, the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Network and Western Australia Sustainable Development Unit, and hosted by South Metropolitan Health Service.
Remy Shergill and Layla Humphreys from CAHA live-tweeted the forum discussions while guesting at Croakey’s rotated X/Twitter account @WePublicHealth, and a summary of her extensive reporting follows below.
