Introduction by Croakey: Valuing the power of story-telling and learning from the oldest living continuous culture were among some of the powerful messages delivered at last week’s National Suicide Prevention Conference on the traditional lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, in Canberra.
Some of the key discussions from the conference included the importance of lived experience led- and co-designed suicide prevention programs, particularly in priority populations, while also establishing safe environments for leadership and governance roles.
Below, a Twitter wrap from #NSPC23 highlights other themes including keeping people safe online and the difference between loneliness and social isolation.
